Title: "[together here]" (01-18-26)

The Point: [insert name here] and Remember Our Unity
Focus Verse - read Ephesians 2:19. Choose a narrator, then divide the remaining people into two groups (physically move to opposite sides of the room). One group have a sign that reads "God's People", the other group one that reads "Foreigners and Strangers." Have the narrator read the verse multiple times - each time, have one of the "Foreigners and Strangers" walk over to join "God's People" until all have joined.
** Icebreaker - What is the best salad dressing you've ever had? What's the worst? **
** Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Do you ever ask God what He wants you to do TODAY to glorify Him? Share a time when it was very clear to you what He wanted you to do. **
Sean talked about four ways that we can Re: Unite with each other. Let's discuss.
Face and Forgive. Have someone read Colossians 3:13.
** 1. Cutting people out of our lives is not biblical. Not including abuse, what reasons have you given to cut other Christ-followers out of your life? **

2. How do you plan to reconcile those relationships?
Remove the Root. Have someone read Hebrews 12:15.
3. Paul tells us to WORK at living at peace with everyone. What does that look like?

4. Bitterness is a contagious cancer. Have you ever found yourself bitter towards someone who didn't directly offend you (but who offended someone you knew)?

5. Given that we are called to work at living at peace with everyone, how would you prevent that contagious bitterness from happening again?
Stop the Stereotypes. Have someone read Galatians 3:28.
6. Share a story from your church experience in which you were stereotyped by another Christ follower, or you were the one doing the stereotyping.

7. Look around the room. Every time you make eye contact with someone, point to them and say, "you and I are one." Do this until you've said it to everyone in the group.
Related as Reconcilers. Read 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.
8. How do you respond when you see two Christ-followers who have a damaged relationship? Do you step in, or stay away?

9. Given that we are called to the message of reconciliation, how should we respond in such a situation?
Prayer 4U - The [New Year Name Here] statement this week was "For this New Year, I will reconcile my relationships." Have everyone put their name in a bowl, then have each person choose. Pray for this person during your week that he/she would reconcile the relationship/s that need to be reconciled.
Guided Prayer - (Leader, include the following in your prayer time). Father, help us forgive anyone who offends us. Help us to clothe ourselves with love. Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in our hearts. And help us all to live in peace with each other. Thank you for making us one in your son Jesus. Amen.
