Big Idea:
Jesus doesn’t save us from a distance—He enters our humanity and leads us through it.
1. Jesus restores what we lost.
He became like us so we could become like Him.
⭐️ Jesus is not glorified instead of being human. He is glorified as a human.
Glory here = humans living out their God-given role as image-bearers and stewards.
⭐️ Just as Adam shaped what humanity looks like now, Christ shapes what humanity will look like then.
👉 Some of us have looked at parts of our lives and assumed, “This is just how it is now,” but Hebrews reminds us this is not the end of the story—God is still at work.
⭐️ God does not start salvation and then wait to see if you can finish it.
Reflect:
What's a part of yourself you’ve stopped believing can change, or a person or situation you’ve quietly written off?
2. Jesus shares our suffering.
He knows our suffering because He lived it with us.
⭐️ To “bear” something in Scripture means:
· to carry responsibility
· to assume consequence
· to stand in another’s place
⭐️ While Christ alone suffered to redeem us, those united to Him now experience suffering as participation rather than punishment—and in that same union, His resurrection comfort and life abound even more.
👉 Christianity is not “me and Jesus handling life” - It’s Jesus forming a people who carry suffering together.
⭐️ If you have faith in Christ but feel unable to handle suffering, that does not disqualify you from glory—it is exactly why you need a Savior who suffered for you and carries you there.
Reflect:
What's a burden, pain, or struggle you’ve been carrying by yourself?
Something you’ve told yourself, “I’ll just deal with this alone”
3. Jesus defeats our greatest enemy.
He broke the power of death and freed us from fear.
⭐️ The goal of salvation is not merely forgiveness but resurrection — where death, once the punishment and power of sin, is finally swallowed up and stripped of its sting forever.
⭐️ The worst thing that could have separated you already fell on Jesus — so nothing left can.
Recap:
Restoration — He shows us what humanity is meant to be.
→ This is not all there is—we will ultimately be like Jesus.

Suffering — He walks with us.
→ Your suffering isn’t shame—it’s fellowship with Christ.

Death — He makes a way through and breaks fear’s hold.
→ So be bold for Jesus—death will ultimately lose its sting.
