1 Finally, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble for me, and it is a safeguard for you. 2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; 3 for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and take pride in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,
4 although I myself could boast as having confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he is confident in the flesh, I have more reason: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; 6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.
7 But whatever things were gain to me, these things I have counted as loss because of Christ.
8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 if somehow I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus.
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

2. Audit Your Rhythm of Life: Where's Your Confidence? Paul asked: Where are you putting confidence - in the flesh or in Christ? This week, examine your actual rhythm of life. Look at your calendar, your spending, your thought patterns, your anxieties. Ask: What is my daily/weekly rhythm revealing about what I really trust? Where am I building security in "credentials" (performance, achievements, others' approval) versus resting in Christ's righteousness? Identify one specific area where you need to shift from confidence in the flesh to confidence in Christ. What would that look like practically?
Three Weekly Practices
1. Do Your Own Cost-Benefit Analysis: Paul wrote out his credentials and then declared them "loss" and "rubbish" compared to knowing Christ. This week, make two lists: (1) What do I count as "gain" in my life right now? (achievements, status, security, comfort, reputation, success metrics). (2) What would it actually mean to "count all things as loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ"? Be honest - what would you struggle to let go of? What does this reveal about where you're placing confidence? Bring this to Jesus in prayer.

3. Practice "One Thing I Do": Paul said, "One thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal." This week, identify your "one thing" - what does "knowing Christ Jesus my Lord" look like as your organizing priority? Then practice it: Each morning, before you start your day, pray "Today, this one thing: knowing Christ." Each evening, reflect: Did my rhythm today reflect this priority? Where did I get distracted by lesser things? Where did I experience "the surpassing value"?
