True freedom comes through Christ, not our circumstances | When God Seems Silent - Part 01

True freedom comes through Christ, not our circumstances | When God Seems Silent - Part 01

When God Seems Silent traces the beginning of Israel’s dramatic shift from captivity to covenant. Covering Exodus chapters 1–2, this series picks up the biblical narrative where Genesis left off—God’s people, the descendants of Abraham, are in Egypt, once a place of refuge, now turned into a land of bondage. Through four foundational episodes, we’ll see how God’s providence, protection, and purpose shine through suffering, evil, and injustice. This series invites us to consider how God's sovereignty operates even when He seems silent. It sets the stage for the greater exodus—freedom from sin—and calls us to trust God's power, presence, and promise even in seasons of oppression or exile. Pharaoh fears Israel’s growing population and responds with oppression. This message explores the nature of slavery—not just political or physical, but spiritual. It asks: What does it mean to be truly free? What happens when the blessings of God become a threat to the world’s power structures? And where is God when life feels like bondage?
