Title: "[trust here]" (01-11-26)

The Point: [insert name here] and Celebrate God's Sovereignty

Object Lesson: Artworks
Focus Verse - read Ephesians 1:11. Have one person read this in their best medieval English accent (think of any movie with someone saying "Hear Ye, Hear Ye"). Pretend to read it from a royal scroll.
** Icebreaker - Describe the best or worst art project or painting that you ever made. **
Sean taught that we can celebrate God's Sovereignty because of four reasons. Let's discuss.
Because it is INTENTIONAL. Have someone read Ephesians 1:4.
** 1. Share about a past difficult situation that didn't make sense to you at the time; but, looking back on it, you can now see that God was using it to achieve a bigger purpose. **
Because it is MYSTICAL (to us). Have someone read Ephesians 1:9.
2. Now, discuss a difficult situation you are facing, or have faced, in which you have not yet seen God's bigger purpose.

3. Considering that God's will is to "fulfill his own good plan" and considering your response to question 1, how does this give you hope in your seemingly unresolved situation?
Because it is EFFECTUAL. Have someone read Ephesians 1:13b - "And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.
4. If you have the Holy Spirit within you and you believe that God's plan is good, why are you afraid? Why do you have anxiety? Why don't you trust Him?

5. If you have the Holy Spirit within you and you believe that God's plan is good, how should this affect your everyday life?
Because it is LOGICAL. Read Ephesians 1:19-20.
** 6. How do you feel when you read that God uses the same power that raised Christ from the dead FOR YOU? **

7. If we truly believe that God will use this same power for us, our lives would be different. Describe how your life would be different.
Prayer 4U - The [New Year Name Here] statement this week was "For this New Year, I will trust that God is in Control." Take a moment and write down the situation you need to trust God with on a piece of paper (names are optional). Place the papers in a bowl and take turns picking out one piece. Pray that the person dealing with this situation would trust that God has it in His hands.
-------------------------------------------------
AFTER
Complete this section below in the week following your Pr'me Group
Meditate on Ephesians 1:19-20. Come prepared next time to share how this verse affected your life this week.
Guided Prayer - (Leader, include the following in your prayer time). Father, thank you that you are sovereign. Thank you that your plan is good and that we can trust you, even when our plans fall apart. Help us to live in the power of your Holy Spirit, glorifying you and submitting to your plan daily. Amen.
