“Hope Appears in a Remnant” – Isaiah 11:1–10
1. God begins His work where we see only a stump.
When life feels cut down or finished, God is preparing new growth we cannot yet see.
2. Strength is not God’s starting point—weakness is.
The Messiah rises from a powerless remnant, reminding us that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness.
3. God’s heart leans toward the remnant—the least, the last, and the overlooked.
In places of vulnerability, God forms compassion, community, and real transformation.
4. Advent invites us to see possibility, not problems.
We must look at our “stumps” with God’s eyes, believing He brings life from what we would discard.
5. Jesus is the Light who welcomes the weary—and He works through a faithful remnant.
Hope spreads not through the majority, but through people willing to trust God with their weakness.
