What does it mean to be "in" the word?
The word "abide" simply means "remain".
So the foundation of being a disciple is the Word of God.
The mark of Christians is that we taste and we stay.
Remaining in the truth of the Word brings freedom.

Go And Make Disciples...
The New Testament makes baptism a normative part of becoming a Christian.
Jesus has all authority over the whole Earth (Matthew 28:18-19)
Those who bend the knee of allegiance to Jesus' authority have from Him the right and the power to go and make disciples everywhere.

Bearing a cross means dying with Christ - dying to the old attitudes and turning to follow Jesus in newness of life.
Baptized into the Death of Jesus (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4)
Every member of the Trinity is active in the conversion which baptism signifies.
Teaching and Observing All His Commands (Matthew 28:20)
Conversion and baptism are essential, but so is the on going teaching of what Jesus taught.
So all disciple-makers must be teachers, and disciples must be continual Learners.
Let us be disciples who make disciples.
