Read – 1st Kings 18:41-46

Summary:
In 1 Kings 18:41–46, Elijah models a faith that trusts God’s promises, waits patiently, and recognizes God’s work even in small beginnings. God’s complete faithfulness in sending the rain points us toward His greater faithfulness in saving and transforming us through Christ.

Discussion Questions:
1. Where in your life is God calling for “obedience before outcome?”
2. Can you think of a time in your life where you felt as though your prayers were not being heard by God?
3. What are some of the “small clouds” that God has brought about in your life?
4. Where in your life have you seen God’s faithfulness?
5. What areas of life is it easiest for you to submit to Christ as Lord? What are the most difficult areas?
6. What is one practical way you can “chase holiness” this week?
(At Home, At Work, At Church, Online, Etc.)

Prayer Points:
· Praise God for His faithfulness in your life.
· Pray for a faith that believes and submit before it sees.
· Pray for patience in waiting.
· Pray to notice God moving in the small things.
· Pray for a deeper response to God’s grace.

Next Steps Challenge:
· Obedience before Outcome. Identify one clear command from Scripture you’ve been delaying obedience (forgiveness, generosity, serving, confession and repentance of sin, reconciliation, baptism…).
· Persistent Prayer. Pick one situation where you’ve grown weary of praying and recommit to praying and trusting God’s answers, even if He remains silent.
· Celebrate the Small Things. Look for one “small sign” of God working, maybe in your family, in your church or on your own life. Write it down and praise God for it.
· Respond to God’s Grace with Your Faith. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as Lord, do so now. If you would like to talk about being baptized, contact Larry.
