How do we respond when God shows us what to do? Do we act right away, or do we delay or only partially obey?
Do we Trust God and His Provision or do we act out of fear or uncertainty and try to take control of the situation ourselves?
Do you teach your children and show them how to pray, study the Word, and follow God?
Are you thankful for the gifts and blessing that God has given to you or do you tend to forget about them or take them for granted?
When desire creeps in, do you think of the long-term consequences that might come for a quick moment of pleasure?

Battling for your birthright slide (going forward)
We should teach our children how to pray and how to have faith in God and to follow Him and trust Him. When our children see us following the Lord, they will be more likely to trust and follow Him too.
“First sell me your birthright.”
“I am about to die!”
“What good is a birthright to me?”
“So Esau despised his birthright”.
immediate pleasure often makes us lose sight of the future.
We should always make sure we think of the long-range consequences of what might happen if we give in to our desires for the short-term pleasures before we act.
Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10 to stand firm, trust God when tempted and always look for His way out!
