Invested in the Next Generation

Psalm 145:4
One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.

We are a church that VALUES the Next Generation — Children Are Close to the Heart of Jesus!
Mark 10:13–16
And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the
disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

TRUTH: If Jesus valued children, we must value them too.
We are a church that MENTORS the Next Generation — We’re Called to Shape Their Faith!
Deuteronomy 6:6–7
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

TRUTH: The next generation won’t just learn faith from our words—they’ll catch it from our lives.
We are a church that AFFIRMS the Next Generation — Speak Life as They Step into Their Calling!
Hebrews 10:23–25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
TRUTH: Our church must breathe encouragement—creating an atmosphere where our kids know they are seen, valued, and called.
We are a church that TELLS the Next Generation — Share the Faithfulness of God with them!
Joshua 4:4–7
Then Joshua called the twelve men from the people of Israel, whom he had appointed, a man from each tribe. And Joshua said to them, “Pass on before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up each of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the people of Israel, that this may be a sign among you. When your children ask in time to come, ‘What do those stones mean to you?’ then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.”

TRUTH: When one generation tells of what God has done, the next generation learns to believe for what He will do.
Let’s be a church that:
1. Values children and youth because Jesus does.
2. Mentors them into maturity through intentional discipleship.
3. Affirms them as they walk in their divine calling.
4. Tells them the stories of God’s faithfulness so they can walk in faith for their future.

We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.
