Acts 1:8 KJV

The Trinity is a central doctrine in Christian theology that describes the nature of God as one Being in three Persons:

• God the Father — the Creator and sustainer of all things.

• God the Son (Jesus Christ) — who became incarnate (took on human flesh), lived among us, died, and rose again for humanity’s salvation.

• God the Holy Spirit — who dwells within believers, guiding, empowering, and sanctifying them.

• These three Persons are distinct, yet they are not three gods. They are one God, sharing the same divine essence, coequal, coeternal, and consubstantial (of the same substance).

• The word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. This is a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God—three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who are God.

1.THERE IS ONE GOD!!

• 1 Timothy 2:5-6 AMP
For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice to atone] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.


2.THE TRINITY CONSISTS OF THREE PERSONS AND ARE DISTINGUISHED FROM ONE ANOTHER IN THE SCRIPTURES

• 2 Corinthians 13:14 NLT
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

• Matthew 28:19 AMP
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,


3.EACH MEMBER OF THE TRINITY IS GOD

• 1 Corinthians 8:6 AMP
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, [a]who is the source of all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things [that have been created], and we [believers exist and have life and have been redeemed] through Him.

• 2 Corinthians 3:17 AMP
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].


4. BOTH THE HOLY SPIRT AND THE SON, SUBMIT TO THE FATHER, BUT ALL MEMBERS CARRY THE SAME AUTHORITY, WITHIN THIS INTERNAL RELATIONSHIP

Then Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you [as My representatives].”

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—

GOD THE FATHER IS:

• The ultimate source and creator of the universe and Purpose - Revelation 4:11

• The author of divine revelation - Deuteronomy 29:29

• The author of divine Salvation - John 3:16-17

• The creator of Jesus and the Initiator of His human works - John 14:10

GOD THE SON – JESUS CHRIST

• God the Father, works through God the Son, Jesus Christ

• The maintenance of the universe - 1 Corinthians 8:6

• To teach and to show us how to live - Hebrews 12:2

• For our salvation - Acts 4:12

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

• Indwells and seals until the day of redemption - Ephesians 4:30
• Renews us Believers - Titus 3:5
• Sanctifies us Believers - Galatians 5:16-18
• Gift Giver - 1 Corinthians 12:4
• Convicts
• Helper & Protector
• Guide & Counsellor
• Intercessor - Romans 8:26-7
• Comforter
• Gives Wisdom & Understanding - 1 Corinthians 2:12-13
• Fills us with joy and peace
