Grounded in the Word
We are a church where Scripture serves as the foundation, the Gospel is preached, and disciples are equipped to proclaim the Truth.

Grounded in the Word Goals:
1. Distribute a quarterly Bible reading plan or devotional guide and encourage our active congregation to participate in and engage in Scripture daily.
2. Increase Biblical literacy by having at least half of the regular attendees join LifeClasses or Life Groups.
3. Develop a New Believer's Life Class.
4. Create a leadership recruitment and training pipeline.
5. Expand our discipleship program to offer 6 Life Class choices and 5 Life Groups for Spring and Fall semesters.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14 (NIV) Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so, the body is not made up of one part but of many.

God’s Word Is Eternal — It Never Changes!

Psalm 119:89-91 (NIV) 89 Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. 90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. 91 Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.

God’s Word Gives Life — It Sustains and Strengthens!

Psalm 119:92-93 (NIV) 92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. 93 I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.

God’s Word Protects – It Builds Trust!

Psalm 119:94-95 94 Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts. 95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statute

God’s Word Is Boundless — It Brings Freedom and Fullness!
Psalm 119:96 To all perfection I see a limit, but your commands are boundless.

Psalm 19:7–11
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

We should all strive to become faithful students of God’s Word!

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Joshua 1:7-8 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
