Make an IMPACT
The Bible teaches us that tithing is an act of obedience and that we should trust God with every aspect of our lives, which also includes our finances. Sacrificing a portion of our income helps us look beyond ourselves and makes us more aware of the needs of others. We offer many ways for you to make an IMPACT and give back. Take a look at some of the options below:

We want freedom from everyone else’s authority… so we can put ourselves on the throne.
Freedom without self-control becomes… Self in control.
1. Religious performance
a. “I’ll earn this myself.” Which leads to a Dead end.
2. Self-indulgent impulse
a. “I’ll do whatever I want.” Which also leads to a Dead end.

• Love needs self-control… when you want to lash out.
• Peace needs self-control… when worry grows loud.
• Faithfulness needs self-control… when quitting feels easier.
• Gentleness needs self-control… when strength wants the wheel.
Self-control is the gatekeeper of the garden.

What is protecting what God is growing in you?
Case Study #1 Samson.
A Nazirite vow
Samson doesn’t lose when his hair gets cut. He loses when his heart stops caring.
His story becomes a warning: You don’t drift from God in a moment. You drift one “I can handle it” at a time.
Case Study #2 Joseph
The Lord was with Joseph.
Sometimes the presence of God will feel closest in the place you least expect it to be.
Your self-control may cost you today… but God is preparing you for a future you cannot yet see.
Self-control isn’t the absence of desire. Self-control is the presence of a stronger loyalty.
What do your private choices reveal about who is leading your life?

“Not my will, but Yours be done.”
Partial surrender is still rebellion.
Jesus, You lead. I’m done flying solo.
Action Steps for this Week:
Self-control isn’t a feeling you wait for; it’s a Spirit-led choice you repeat. Here are three ways to put this into motion this week:
Action Steps:
1. Pre-Decide Your Lines (Joseph’s Move)
Identify your #1 battle (mouth, money, media, lust, anger, food).
Write 2 non-negotiables before the moment hits. Example: “Phone
sleeps in the kitchen,” “No second plate,” “I leave when the convo turns
to gossip.” Tell one trusted person your two lines today.
Scripture: (Genesis 39:9,12 NLT)
“How could I do such a wicked thing? … Joseph tore himself away
and ran.”
2. Practice the Pause (2 Minutes, Twice Daily)
Set two alarms (AM/PM). When they ring: stop, breathe, name the pull,
pray: “The Spirit leads. My flesh follows.”
Ask, “What is the next right step for the next 10 minutes?” Then do
only that.
Scripture: (Galatians 5:16 NLT)
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing
what your sinful nature craves.
3. Change Your Proximity (Shut the Door on the Trigger)
Remove access for 7 days… delete one app, block one site, move the
snacks, take the card off Amazon, add a 24-hour rule on non-essentials.
Replace the gap with Scripture or a 10-minute walk + prayer.
Scripture: (Romans 13:14 NLT)
14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.
