You can’t buy God’s favor. You can’t earn God’s favor. You can only receive God’s favor.
Questions for reflection:
1. Am I embarrassed by any command of God?
2. What’s my attitude toward foreigners around me?
3. Am I resting in God’s favor?

LifeGroup & Discussion questions:
Before attending LifeGroup:
NOTE: The new series builds on longer narratives. Allow time in the week to read the passage.
1. Read 2 Kings 5. Reflect and write one observation.
2. What does this passage teach us about God and people?
3. What scriptures help you understand the text and message? (i.e., Exodus 20:22-26; 2 Kings 6:8-23)
During LifeGroup:
1. Do the Take 10 questions in groups of 2-4 people.
2. Read aloud or play a recording of 2 Kings 5. Have a lifegroup member retell the narrative as if they were there (first person).
3. Give examples of God's commands that you might be embarrassed to embrace. Why?
4. Describe God’s attitude toward foreigners and those on the margins. How is it different than yours?
5. Why is it so difficult to receive a large, unearned gift?
6. What resonated most from Adrian's message? Why?
7. Write down what God is impressing upon you to do in response to the passage or discussion. Pray for any expressed convictions.
For next week’s message: read and reflect on 2 Kings 14:1-22.
