Welcome to Beltsville Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are so glad you’ve joined us for worship today.
Last week, we talked about assurance of salvation, and today we continue the journey by asking another honest question many of us wonder about: How do we really understand and apply the Bible in our world today? The Bible is living, powerful, and full of wisdom, but sometimes it can feel confusing or distant. This morning, we’ll explore how God still speaks through Scripture in ways that are clear, practical, and deeply personal for everyday life.

Focus Text:
For the word of God it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you at Chipotle!
Church Budget Meeting: All Members Invited
Dear Beltsville Church Family: Our Finance Committee has been working on the 2026 budget, recognizing that rising living costs and the government shutdown are affecting many families, including our church. We are seeking to be both fiscally responsible and faithful to our mission, remembering that “it is required of stewards that they be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2) while still answering Christ’s call to “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19). Because these decisions are significant, we invite all members to a special in-person meeting on November 18 at 7pm at the Ammendale Campus Fellowship Hall, where we will share openly and listen to one another, trusting that “in an abundance of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14). Please keep this in prayer, believing the promise that when we seek God sincerely, He will guide us (Ellen G. White, Steps to Christ).
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!
Yes, it’s almost time to celebrate our Savior’s birth. Mark your calendars now and join your church family for a Christmas Concert on Sabbath, December 6, during the worship service.
To join the choir, come to rehearsal this afternoon at 4:30pm in the Primary Sabbath School Room.

HEALTH MINISTRIES
Healthy Relationships, Healthy Lives
Healthy relationships predict longer, healthier lives. In contrast, a lack of social connections is linked to increased mortality. Researchers at Brigham Young University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill analyzed data from 148 studies involving more than 300,000 participants across the developed world. They found that individuals with limited social connections had, on average, a 50% higher risk of death over a 7.5-year follow-up period than those with strong, supportive ties.
But there’s good news. The long-running Harvard Study of Adult Development found that nurturing close, supportive relationships is one of the strongest predictors of both longevity and life satisfaction.
So, reach out. Strengthen the bonds you have and open yourself to new ones. Relationships don’t just make life richer—they help make it longer and more fulfilling.
