ENTRY INTO CELEBRATION (Responsive)
Text in bold is the audience response.
A thousand days are but a moment to God; All flesh is grass, and withers away. Still we treasure our days with those whom we love, And reluctantly give them back to God. On this day, we thank God for the saints in our lives.
Let us worship God.
In the beginning, God called the world into being, saying, “Let there be light!” In the fullness of time, Jesus came from God to us, saying, “I am the Light of the world.” In our everyday life, we see the work of the saints, The ones in whom God’s light shines. So let us give thanks for the saints this day,
And let us worship God.
We gather this morning to remember our call: To do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with God. We bring with us the events of the week in the world and in our lives, Trying to know how to be just and loving and humble in the midst of it all. We gather here, and see those who are doing justice, who are kind beyond measure, who set the example for humility. With gratitude for living saints, with thankfulness for the purpose of faith,
let us worship God. *

Refrain
Fill my cup, let it overflow
Fill my cup, let it overflow

INVITATION TO PRAYER
On All Saints Day, we are invited to consider how we live as followers of Christ – to look at our decisions and our actions straight on, and to hold them up to the example of Christ, and to make amends. In this time of silence, and in our prayer together, let us look at our lives. We pray, first in silence.

PRAYER (Unison)
Holy God, Creator of all that is, Donor of Grace, and Giver of Life: Hear our prayer. There are chasms in our lives, deep valleys that separate us From one another and from You. We confess that we have allowed those rifts to grow, For fear of admitting our part in the separation, For fear of being rejected when we reach out. You call us to a reconciled life, to healed relationships, To a wholeness with each other and with You. Mend us, we pray, and make us new creations Through the power and love of Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.

WORSHIP LYRICS: For All the Saints
Verse 1
For all the saints
Who from their labors rest
Who thee by faith
Before the world confessed
Thy name, O Jesus
Be forever blest
Alleluia, Alleluia
Verse 2
Thou wast their rock
Their fortress, and their might
Thou, Lord, their captain
In the well-fought fight
Thou, in the darkness drear
Their one true light
Alleluia, Alleluia
Verse 3
O blest communion
Fellowship divine
We feebly struggle
They in glory shine
Yet all are one in thee
For all are thine
Alleluia, Alleluia
Verse 4
And when the strife
Is fierce, the warfare long
Steals on the ear
The distant triumph song
And hearts are brave again
And arms are strong
Alleluia, Alleluia
Verse 5
From earth's wide bounds
From ocean's farthest coast
Through gates of pearl
Streams in the countless host
Singing to Father, Son
And Holy Ghost
Alleluia, Alleluia

PRAYER OF GREAT THANKSGIVING
The words of response are: We give thanks.
We remember those whose courage enables us to be here today, whose love of God shone before us, and who shared us who God is. For these ancestors of faith, we give thanks, and we pray together the Lord's Prayer:

THE LORD'S PRAYER (Unison)
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

UNISON PRAYER FOLLOWING COMMUNION
God of all life, we go from this place to the home place, to the workplace, the marketplace; every place living as God's own people. May Your love, and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. May we live as your saints in the world. Amen.
