Holding It All Together

1. Foundation Check
2. Jesus is before all things
3. Jesus brings together all things
4. Build your life on Him
Discussion Questions
1. Be honest… have you ever tried to hide a crack, stain, or hole in your house with a picture frame or plant? How’d that go—did it work or did everyone still notice?
2. When’s a time super glue or duct tape came to the rescue in your life? Did it actually hold… or just hold long enough to make it funny later?
DIGGING DEEPER: These questions are designed to help you reflect on and discuss the message with others. You can use them in your community group, with a friend, or even with your spouse. You don’t have to cover every question—focus on the ones that spark the most meaningful conversation for you. Or simply let them serve as a springboard for talking through the ideas from the message that stood out to you.

*We’re Not Just Built Different — We’re Building Together. This week’s challenge is simple: get Rooted. Sign up for a Rooted Group that will start in January 2026. Take your next step toward being part of a community that’s centered on Jesus and built up in Him.

And if you’re able, consider sponsoring a Rooted Scholarship. Each $50 gift will show up as a brick on the stage—a symbol of the faith we’re building together as we pray toward a powerful new year of discipleship. Have questions? Reach out at discipleship@northsidecc.org.
1. What’s one part of Sunday’s message (or this passage in Colossians) that really stuck with you? Something that made you think, convicted you, or encouraged you?
2. Foundations vs. Decorations. Nathan said, “Coverups don’t cure a crumbling foundation.” Where do you see people (or maybe yourself) trying to look okay on the surface instead of dealing with what’s underneath? In what area of your life might God be calling you to stop decorating and start rebuilding?
3. Created on Purpose:
Think about your daily life—school, work, family, money, time. Where do you feel like you need to take a deep breath and say, “Jesus, this belongs to You”? How might remembering that truth help when you feel out of control or under pressure?
4. Redeemed and Rebuilt:
What’s one thing that stands out to you from this passage about who Jesus is or what He’s done? How does it feel to know He doesn’t just hold things together—He makes all things new?
5. Colossians 1:17 is our key verse this week. It reminds us of Jesus as both creator and redeemer. When life starts to feel shaky, what does that verse say to you personally? Where do you need to trust that Jesus is still holding it all together?
Memory Verse:
Let’s put it to the test! If you got a temporary tattoo on Sunday, see who can say the memory verse from memory—no peeking! And if you don’t have it yet, this week’s your chance. Lock it in your heart, not just on your arm.

Prayer Focus:
• Thank Jesus for being the foundation that holds everything together.
• Ask Him to reveal any “decorations” that have taken the place of real foundations.
• Pray for courage to rebuild areas of your life on His truth and presence.
