Step 9 “Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.”
Amends means to repair something that has been broken – in this case, a relationship.
Prayer: God of reconciliation and mercy. I want to make things right. Not to erase the past – but to honor those I’ve hurt and to live differently going forward. Give me courage. Give me compassion. Help me release control of the outcome. Teach me to love without expectation. And let healing flow, even if I never see it bloom. Amen.
