More Than Conquerors – Overcoming the World, the Flesh, and the Devil

Faith is what overcomes the world — and faith is released through words.

We need to remember that we aren’t trying to secure a victory because we are already fighting from a PLACE of victory.

We need to first understand what “the world” is.

When Scripture says we overcome the world, it’s talking about:

The world’s values (selfishness, pride, unbelief)

The world’s systems (fear, corruption, moral compromise)

The world’s pressures (temptation, persecution, anxiety)

How does the world come against believers?
1. The World Tries to Conform Us to Its Values
2. The World Distracts Us from Our Purpose
3. The World Discourages and Divides
4. The World Deceives with Lies
5. The World Denies Christ's Lordship

We also need to know that faith speaks what it believes.

Jesus showed us how to overcome with words.

The Word of God is a sword.

Our confession creates victory.

We are simply enforcing what Jesus already did for us.

Here’s how to speak God’s Word to overcome daily:

Identify what you’re facing (fear, temptation, discouragement, etc.).

Find a verse that speaks God’s truth about that area.

Declare it aloud—not once, but continually.

Thank God that His Word is working in your life.

Refuse to speak defeat—only speak what God says.

All of this is a CHOICE we make. We can choose to stay in our current state. We can choose to be upset. We can choose to get offended. We can choose to gossip, or we can choose to speak the Word and overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony and be more than conquerors. It’s up to us to make the right choices.
