When it comes to treatment in world, particularly the medical world, there are three stages:
- Prevention
- Prescription
- Intervention
If you want to lose your connection with God, lose your marriage, and/or family, Let the Triggers of Life DERAIL you while Living with no GUARDRAILS.

Establish lifesaving GUARDRAILS.
Part 1: Triggers, Obstacles, and Difficulties that DERAIL
1) The Spiritual War Between Satan and Humans
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
2) The Intensification of Pain and Suffering
“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children.”
3) The Kinds of Conflict that Cause Aloneness, Isolation, and Abandonment
“Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
4) The Thorns and Thistles of Work and Life
“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you…. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food….”
5) The Fears that Cause Fights, Flights, and Freezing
“…until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Part 2: Establishing the GUARDRAILS that can Prevent Derailment.
1) Be where you’re supposed to be, when you’re supposed to be there, doing what you’re supposed to be doing.
“In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war…. David remained in Jerusalem. One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace.”
If you DISENGAGE from the BATTLE, it is only a matter of time before you are DEFEATED in the WAR.
2) Win the Battle for your Mind: Take your thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ.
“From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful.”
Thoughts turn into Actions

Beliefs turn into Behaviors

What’s on/in my Mind turns into Movements from my life
3) Be Content with the Spouse you have.
“… and David sent someone to find out about her.”
How many wives did David have at this point in his life?
- Michal (1 Sam 18:20–27)
- Ahinoam (1 Sam 25:43)
- Abigail (1 Sam 25:39–42)
- Maacah (2 Sam 3:3)
- Haggith (2 Sam 3:4)
- Abital (2 Sam 3:4)
- Eglah (2 Sam 3:5)
- “more wives/concubines” (2 Sam 5:13)
If you’re not content with the Spouse you have, be CONTENT and SATISFIED with the God who has you!
4) Surround yourself with EMPOWERED CONFIDANTS who will tell you “NO,” not ECHO CHAMBERS who always say, “YES.”
“…and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, ‘She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah.’ Then David sent messengers to get her.”
5) Play Chess with your Choice: Play out the Possible Outcomes.
“She came to him, and he slept with her. Then she went back home. The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, ‘I am pregnant.’ . . . ‘Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.’”
What Guardrails are you missing?

Where do you need guardrails?

I was missing guardrails and have or on the brink of derailment (spiritually and/or martially), how do I get back on the road?
