Reading Scripture
Matthew 5:17-18

“…. It’s like a map to another world. Like a portal to a whole other reality —“

“ what the Celtic Christians called a “thin place.” And if you enter it, it has the potential to change not just your life, but the world.”

As we enter into this place, God’s words impact and transform us deeply, forming within, the reality of his upside kingdom

1 )Importance - Matt 5:17-18 NIV
-They are permanent
-They are Christ-centred
-They are authoritative

2) Implementation- Reading and walking it out

“Come to your chosen passage as to a place where you will have a holy meeting with God.” Dallas Willard

Walking it out-
James 1:22 “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

Nehemiah 6:3…. “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”

The word brings:
--Courage to your soul
--A sword against our enemy
--Strength in weakness

--Go to the broken-hearted.
--Do not be limited by custom or culture
--Keep going deeper with people
--Look up and see kingdom things

Salvation Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for drawing me to Yourself from my darkness, my sin, and my shame. I repent of my sins, and I ask You to forgive me. I welcome You into my heart, and I surrender my future into Your hands. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit, and help me to be a reflector of Your light to those around me. Thank You for including me in Your family. Amen
