Walt Harper to Speak Tonight
Our guest speaker this morning, Walt Harper, will also speak this evening at 6 p.m. in the Chapel about recent archaeological excavations in Israel urging the time of Christ. Enter door #16.

Congregational Meeting and Dessert
Chapel Rock will hold its annual meeting during each morning service on Sunday, November 2. Members will vote to approve the spending plan for 2026. That evening at 6:30 p.m., everyone is invited back for an evening of dessert, worship, and prayer in Fellowship Hall.

Radical Hospitality
With many new faces visiting on Sundays, Chapel Rock is working to ramp up our Hospitality Ministry. Those currently serving as a greeter or volunteer at the Welcome Desk, or anyone interested in learning about these roles is invited to an informational dinner meeting on Wednesday, November 5, at 6:30 p.m. in WC113. These are two critical roles because guests encounter greeters and the Welcome Desk before anyone else. Please help fill this need! Come see what it’s all about!

Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Showing appreciation affirms the value of a pastor's labor and helps sustain his morale, strengthening his ability to lead with conviction. Appreciation can include words of encouragement, prayers, or could be thoughtful gifts. On Sundays, October 5, 12, and 19, there will be a kiosk dedicated to receiving appreciation cards. An added way to show appreciation is to include a gift card for shopping or dining. A list of the pastoral staff can be found at www.chapelrock.org/about/our-staff. For more information, contact Jenny Knoebel at knoebeljenny@gmail.com, or 317-443-4276 (call or text).

Kenya Mission Trip Informational Meeting
Chapel Rock is returning to Kenya with Disciple Makers in August 2026. Tom Schneller will host an informational meeting on Sunday, October 19, at 12:30 p.m. in WC 113. Come and learn what God is doing in Kenya and how you might be involved!

Chapel Rockets Seniors Ministry Bible Study

Communion
Chapel Rock practices an 'open communion' meaning that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are welcome to participate in the communion service. The elder/staff member giving the devotion will provide instructions.
I. God’s Judgment Is Certain—and Terrifying
If Ezekiel groans today, the nation will groan tomorrow—because when God unsheathes the sword, the time for warnings is over.
II. The Weapon of Regime Change is Imminent and Thorough
God’s judgment touches both wicked and righteous, but for His people it purifies, not condemns.
Believers may feel the weight of judgment around them, but they can trust that God is refining, not rejecting.
III. God Directs Even Nations to Accomplish His Will
God bends even pagan powers into His redemptive plan.
What feels like chaos is often God’s choreography. Even hostile powers serve His purposes for judgment and redemption.
IV. God’s Sword Clears the Way for the Righteous Judge
“The crown will not be restored until he to whom it rightfully belongs shall come; to him I will give it.”
“Enough of false crowns—only the true King will stand.”
VISION COMMITMENT
We BRING our brokenness to Jesus because a CHANGE to wholeness is the story we SHARE.
