Response Questions:
1. In Acts 19:1–10, Paul meets people who believed but hadn’t yet received the Holy Spirit. What’s the difference between believing about Jesus and truly living in the power of the Spirit? How can we recognize if our faith has become more informational than transformational?
2. In Acts 19:11–20, when the people realized the power of the name of Jesus, they burned their books of magic. What modern “books” or practices might believers need to let go of today — not just sinful things, but anything that competes for spiritual dependence on Jesus?
3. In Acts 19:21–41, the Gospel disrupted the city’s economy and comfort zones. How might the gospel challenge today’s cultural idols of money, image, or success? What would it look like for the Church in Mt. Vernon to impact our community like the church in Ephesus impacted their city?
4. The revival in Ephesus started not in the streets, but in the hearts of believers who confessed and repented. What personal step could you take this week to prepare your heart for a similar move of God — individually or as a church family?
