Sermon: Seeking God and discerning the times.

The Kings Dream

God was revealing himself and his power to the leaders of pagan nations and using his people to supernaturally reveal future events and God's power! This can still happen today!

God is still speaking in dreams and visions.

Dreams can show us the future, and also show us things God is trying to set us free from or to pay attention to in our lives.

The King started to look to the wicked magicians and astrologers for answer.

Don't look to the world or corrupt media and the false prophets that seek attention and money online, but seek God for ourselves and be rooted in his word for answers.
Don't look to astrology for your future, look to Christ and his word.

Daniel and his friends sought the lord for answers.

God reveals to them the dream and its interpretation and what's going to happen to Babylon and future kingdoms.

They were so sure of the dream and its interpretation that they praised God beforehand!

This is how sure we can be when we stand on what the bible says.

Then Daniel stands boldly before the King and tells him the dream and interpretation.

Daniel does not point to himself as the source of this power and revelation.
No matter how God uses us in ministering to other people, we must always make sure God gets the glory and not ourselves.

The dream the King had basically tells them what the future holds and gives us the promise that one day there will be a kingdom that has no end where Christ reigns as the leader over all the earth.

We look forward to that kingdom this morning that is here now in part and still to come in its fullness.
