What is Providence? God will see to it.
------------
Miracle - God interrupts natural law (God works directly to accomplish His will).
Providence - God works through natural law (God works indirectly to accomplish His will).
Providence is the unceasing activity of the Creator whereby He directs everything to its appointed goal, for His own glory.
Providence is God working His own ends no matter what the intention of people - good or bad. God will even use man’s evil purposes as an instrument for bringing about HIs ultimate good beyond the knowledge, desire, or realization of the human agents involved.

Genesis 45: “It was not you who sent me here, but God”
Genesis 50: "You meant it for evil, God meant it for good"

God never does evil, God never causes the evil, God never calls the evil good.
From the beginning, God chose to incorporate man's plans for evil into His plan for good.

- God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. Psalm 115:3
- The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9
- I know that God can do all things, that no purpose of His can be thwarted. Job 42:2
- Who has spoken, and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it? Lamentations 3:37
- Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven & on earth, in the seas & all deeps. Psalm 135:6

You might ever get to see God’s ultimate intent for good. God’s definition of good often conflicts with ours.
Ignorance of providence is misery; the highest blessedness lies in the knowledge of it.

Three ways understanding and embracing God's providence can help us today:
------------
1. Providence of God makes forgiving others palpable (it empowers you to forgive)
Unforgiveness:
- Puts ourselves in the place of God
- Says that God’s wrath is insufficient
- Is the highest form of arrogance
- Is an unbearable weight to hold on to
Your faith in God is demonstrated in your ability to forgive those who hurt you.

2. Providence of God makes your own forgiveness possible (it enables you to be forgiven)
- Acts 4:27-28: The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of what humans meant for evil God meant for good.

3. Providence of God makes the message of forgiveness your purpose (it encourages you share the message of forgiveness)
...God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive.
- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: You ain’t been through, what you’ve been through, just for you.

My life is but a weaving between my God and me. I cannot choose the colors that He weaves steadily. Often, He weaves sorrow; and I in foolish pride, forget He sees the upper and I the underside. Not til the loom is silent and the shuttles ceases to fly, will God unroll the canvas and reveal the reason why. The dark threads are as needed in the weaver’s skillful hand as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned. He knows, He loves, He cares; Nothing this truth can dim. He gives the very best to those who leave the choice to Him.
