Step 6 – “We are entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character”
Our identity isn’t achieved; it’s received.
This week: Sit with God, read your Bible, be still and listen for how God confirms your identity. Write it down. Example: I am God’s son/daughter. Nothing can separate me from His love, not my past, not my current successes or failures, nothing. (Here are a few Bible verses to get you started: 1John 3:1, Romans 8:31-39, Ephesians 2:1-10, Psalm 103:12, Galatians 4:7, John 1:12-13, Luke 12:6-7, Philippians 1:6, Psalm 139:14)
If you haven’t publicly acknowledged your new identity scan the QR code to sign up for our next baptism class.
Prayer: God of mercy and movement, I’ve named what’s hurting me – and others. Now I want to be free. I’m not asking for perfection. I’m asking for willingness. Make me ready, God. Ready to release what clings to me. Ready to release what I cling to. I’m ready to trust that grace can reshape what I cannot. Trust in my imperfect trust. Amen.
