Ephesians - Finding Our New Identity ***Special Topic Today***
Welcome to an exciting new sermon series on the Book of Ephesians, one of the Apostle Paul’s most profound letters. Paul proposes that we are "in Christ." We have a new identity. In a sense, he encourages us to become what we already are!

MESSAGE TEXT
Ephesians 4:15
*
INTRODUCTION
Today, we have a special topic. Actually, it's a living illustration of a verse out of Ephesians that was recently addressed in a sermon - Ephesians 4:15: Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
*
Did anyone speak the truth in love better than Charlie Kirk? He wasn't perfect, but he was a living example of this truth. He was assassinated this week for doing that very thing.
*
I'll give some reasons for why I think this is hitting everyone so hard. We'll also look at the theme of truth in Ephesians. But, we'll focus primarily on three main points that form the direction of the message today.
PROPOSITION
Three messages embedded in this simple phrase "speaking the truth in love" - that speak to a stunned world.
*
Manage Your Mouth
speaking the truth in love
*
Guard Your Heart
speaking the truth in love
*
Challenge Your Feelings
speaking the truth in love
*
CONCLUSION
The Enemy wants us afraid. He wants us to see what happened to Charlie and backpedal. He wants the rest of us to whisper, to soften the message, to believe the lie that faith should stay private. But Christ never whispered. He preached in temples, on hillsides, in courtrooms, at dinner tables. And when they told Him to be quiet, He picked up His cross. Not a symbolic one. A real one. Will you take up His cross today?
