The Sacredness of Work
Our work has Instrumental Value:
Your work matters for eternity because you can leverage it to share the Good News of Jesus with those you work with or in the networks of work relationships. Nothing wrong with being a light for Jesus or a witness when asked about our faith.

Our work has Intrinsic Value:
Your work matters for eternity even when you are not leveraging it to tell others about Jesus at work, that is, work matters if all you do is just doing your job = an honest day’s work.
The Great Commission is not our only Commission
Matthew 28:19-20 - Go make disciples for Jesus Good News
Genesis 1-2 - Go work the Creation God made Good Work
Notice that work was God’s calling to Adam and Eve, “Paradise wasn’t a vacation, it was a vocation.”

Be fruitful and multiply = the call to procreate
Fill the earth = the call to civilization and cultural creation
Govern it = to make the earth productive and good for humanity
Reign = to actively partner with God
