Passion:
is a deep, compelling force that fuels purpose, perseverance, and conviction. It is more than emotion—it is a sustained commitment to a cause that transcends personal comfort or personal recognition.

Salvation Army Back-to-School Shopping Spree - August 7
The annual Salvation Army “Back-to-School Shopping Spree” takes place Thursday, August 7, at the Colorado Mills Target. This special event benefits Golden elementary school students who are identified by school staff as being in need. We are expecting 80 children this year and are preparing school backpacks filled with school supplies for the event!
There are two ways to participate:
• Assist a child with shopping as a CHAPERONE. Shifts start at either 8:00 or 9:00 am and last about an hour. You will be provided with detailed instructions, including the wish list and sizes of your child.
• SPONSOR a child with a $100 Target gift card towards the purchase of back-to-school clothing & shoes. To donate, just write a check to Golden SAEU with “SA Shopping Spree” on the memo line or use the QR code found on the Salvation Army cards located at the back of the church after July 19th.
This is wonderful way to get kids off to a good start for the school year, and it’s a lot of fun! Consider inviting a friend to join you to make a real difference in a child’s life.
To chaperone and/or donate, please contact Jennifer Wilson at jjwilson1to6@msn.com. Thank you!
