House Like Heaven: House of Prayer

House Like Heaven: House of Prayer

"House Like Heaven" is an invitation to reimagine both our homes and our church as sacred spaces where God's presence dwells, where peace is practiced, and where prayer becomes a way of life. It is about becoming a community shaped not by hurry or performance, but by the steady formation of heaven on earth.

These questions are here to help you lead a great small group. Whether you meet at home, at work, or at church, use this simple practice:
E – Encourage
Focus on encouraging each other. Start with a win or something good.
S – Scripture
Read the passage from Sunday out loud. Let it lead the way.
P – Pray
Use the discussion questions. End by praying together.
N – Next Step
Look for one way to help each other take a next step with Jesus.
You do not need to know it all. Just show up, stay open, and trust that God will move.
GROUP QUESTION FOR TODAY'S MESSAGE

If your home had a welcome mat that described your current season of life, what would it say?

If someone walked into your home or our church, what is one thing you hope they would feel?

Psalm 127 begins with the line, “Unless the Lord builds the house…”
What are some ways we try to build without God?
How can we tell if we are building with Him or apart from Him?

“Prayer is not a last resort. Prayer is our first priority.”
How do you personally keep prayer from becoming just a reaction instead of a rhythm? What helps you stay consistent?

Have you ever intentionally prayed through or over the space where you live?

We often say we will pray for people, but forget.
Why do you think praying with someone in the moment is so powerful?
Have you ever been deeply impacted by someone doing that for you?
