Sermon Title: Mission Minded- Training and Power

TFH is a church on Mission.

We exist to the Lost saved, set free and growing into maturity in Christ.

Last week recap.
1. You are in the ministry.
2. Take responsibility for the mission.
3. Have a willing heart for God to use you for the mission.

1.You need to be trained and equipped for the mission.

The role of Church leadership is to train and equip you for the mission.

The pastor's job is to equip you with everything you need to live out your christian life and fulfill the great commission.

Even the best sports players on the earth have coaches.

Next steps are areas of growth that you may need further training in.

In order to be equipped and trained you must have a teachable spirit.

Pride will keep you from listening and learning from others. A know-it-all attitude will keep you from Growth and wisdom.

a. Train yourself in the word of God.

You cant teach people what you dont know.

Use the resources we have for Bible study and equip yourself for the mission.

You wont ever finish the bible, its a living book that will refresh you over and over again.

b. Prepare yourself in Prayer

Prayer helps us recognize where our help comes from. God will go before us and be with us on the mission.

If you follow every move of God or anyone who God has used mightily it can be traced back to their prayer life.

2.You need supernatural power for the mission.

We need the power of the Holy Spirit!!

We have access to this power!

There are subsequent experiences with the Holy Spirit to empower us for the mission.

We need to seek God and ask that he would fill us with the Holy Spirit and power everyday to accomplish the mission.
