Sermon Notes
Pictures of A Christian Life
An Ambassador of the King
2 Corinthians 5:17-6:2
Having been reconciled to God by God in Christ, we live as Ambassadors of Christ with a message to proclaim, a way of life to display, and a King to represent as God makes his appeal through us: Be reconciled to God!
1. An Ambassador for Christ
2. With a Message to Proclaim
3. A Way of Life to Display
4. A King to Represent
Take some time to discuss this with your friends or family:
• Why do you think many Christians today believe it is wrong to share your faith with the hope people will choose Jesus? How do we reconcile that with our role as ambassadors?
• How does the term “reconciliation” affect your understanding of what Jesus accomplished for us?
• How does knowing “God makes his appeal through us” affect your confidence or desire to talk about Jesus with others?
• In what specific ways can you ensure your way of life aligns with the message of reconciliation we proclaim?
• What are some current issues that might be Kingdom matters for us to advocate for?
