Ways To Give
God is generous and so He calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
If you would like to give, please see the different ways below. You can also designate your gift as going to the general church fund, building fund, HUB Radio Network, missions or for use as benevolence.
Give In Person
On Sunday Morning we do have an offering box set up for those who would like to give in person!

2 Timothy Series, Week 7
Continue In The God Breathed Scripture
Continue In The God Breathed Scripture
The true opposite of "conserve" is throw away, or waste, or squander: the true opposite of "liberal" is stingy, tightfisted, uncharitable.
Ideally we will be people who hold fast to what is true and good and beautiful and precious. And be free-handed and generous and large-hearted with what we have.
The word for "go on" in verse 13 is (prokopsousin) which literally means to "advance," "progress," "proceed."
1. The character of the people who taught you the truth (v.14)
2. The marks of divine holiness in the Scriptures (v.15a).
The Scriptures bear the marks of their divine author, the Holy One of Israel.
3. The power of Scripture to save sinners (v.15b).
One of the ways we come to trust a message is by the power it has to change people.
4. The Scriptures brought you to Christ (v.15c).
5. The Scriptures are God-breathed (v.16a).
There are really good reasons for treating the New Testament as having the same God-breathed authority...
- Jesus saw his own teaching on par with Scripture (Matthew 5) and having the authority of God. (John 14:10 - "I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.")
- Jesus prepared for his apostles to speak with divine authority for the sake of the church. (John 16:13 - "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.")
- The Apostles claimed to be inspired by God. (1 Corinthians 2:13 - "We impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit.")
- Peter said that Paul's letters were part of the authoritative Scriptures. (2 Peter 3:16 - "some twist his letters "as they do the other Scriptures."")
- Jesus saw his own teaching on par with Scripture (Matthew 5) and having the authority of God. (John 14:10 - "I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.")

Paul focuses on the writings themselves. He tells Timothy the writings themselves are God-breathed.
God's word never changes. It is fixed forever in God-breathed Scripture.

6. The Scripture is supremely profitable (v.16-17).
Godliness is being "Equipped for every good work"
The Bible enables us to be trained, to grow, in righteousness.
