What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father, so tender, is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor
Our sins they are MANY, His MERCY is more

“Ephesians 2:7 doesn’t just say the ‘immeasurable riches of His grace’ but ‘the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness.’ The Greek word for kindness means a desire to do what is in your power to prevent discomfort in another. It’s the same word used in Matthew 11:30 where Jesus says, ‘my yoke is easy.’ His yoke is kind. On ‘kindness’ in Ephesians 2:7, Puritan pastor & theologian Thomas Goodwin (1600-1680) remarks: ‘the word here implies all sweetness, …and all friendliness, …and all goodness, and with his whole heart.’”

“Don’t let your childlike awe and wonder die. Don’t let the scenery and poetry and music of your relationship with God shrivel up and die. You have capacities for joy which you scarcely could imagine.”
