JAIL BREAK:
To Be Continued | Week 18 | Ken LaMont
HEROD SEEKS APPROVAL
When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. – Acts 12:3
THE CHURCH PRAYS
So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. – Acts 12:5
PETER SLEEPS
The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. -1Peter 5:6-7
What prison do you need God to break you out of?
REASONS PRAYERS DON’T WORK:
1. We don’t ask.
2. We ask with wrong motives.
3. We only accept the answer we want.
PRAY:
1. Ask God
2. Ask Others
3. Ask Yourself
