There’s a war over your worship and every act of worship declares which side you’re on.
Merriam Webster defines worship as extravagant respect, admiration or devotion towards an object of esteem.
My personal definition of worship = Finding pleasure in God and responding to it.
God’s original recipe for worship:
Sacrifice: You bring God something that costs you something.
Altar: You give it to Him with intentionality.

Warning:
God is not pleased with the appearance of worship alone.
Matén (Greek) = Vain, to no purpose, without success; empty
When you worship God, you position yourself on the Lord’s side.
There’s only victory on the Lord’s side.
Many Christians are neutral about:
Abortion
Racism.
Homosexuality.
The sexual perversion of their choice.
Gluttony.
Israel.
Things that God is very passionate and clear about.
Your neutrality often reveals your idolatry.
Idols are:
False gods in our lives.
The things we hope God never asks us for.
The things we put before God.
The things we can’t say “no” to.
The things that cause us to compromise a previous “yes” to the Lord.
The things we find our identity in before our identity in God.
The things we accredit our victories to.
Examples of Idols:
Success
Money
Your reputation
Your national identity
Your racial identity
Knowledge
Understanding
God will make war against your idols.
Are you giving your worship to your idols or are you giving your worship to the Lord?
There’s a war over your worship and every act of worship declares which side you’re on.
