🔥 Burning Ones | MC Students

Burning Ones Conference is a three day conference hosted at Mercy Culture Church in Forth Worth, Texas for all students grades 6-12.

This conference is called Burning Ones. It's not just a name, it's a spiritual identity we have chosen to take. A lamp cannot maintain its flame without oil, a Burning One cannot burn without intimacy with God. We burn because of Him, we burn for Him.

We are BURNING ONES.

Your greatest place of shame is God’s doorway of hope to glory.
You can’t love what He loves or hate what He hates when you’re jaded!
You can’t love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength when your heart has grown jaded.
Jadedness is when your heart is tired of hoping because things hurt too much.
Jadedness = Made dull, apathetic, or cynical by repeated exposure to disappointment or hardship.
Qāšāh (Hebrew) = Hardened, willfull resistance to God because of rebellion

Yāgēaʿ (Hebrew) = Weary, exhausted and worn out

Pōrōsis (Greek) = Spiritual dullness or hardness of heart, callousness; gradual hardening of sensitivity to God

Kamnō/Athumeō (Greek) = To grow weary or disheartened
Athumeō (Greek) = to lose the inner spirit, “drive”; to become inwardly defeated.
The Biblical Picture of Jadedness:
A progressive hardening of the heart caused by disappointment, shame, spiritual fatigue, and repetitive resistance to God — leading to emotional detachment and loss of hope.
Results of Jadedness:
1. Hardens what God wants tender
2. Blinds us to glory and truth
3. Silences your worship
4. Rewrites your past in shame
5. Replaces freedom with self-protection
6. Makes the failure, pain, trouble, and disappointment permanent
7. Breeds bitterness, offense, judgement, and slander
8. Resists God's plans
9. Poisons your fruit
10. Breeds hopelessness
SPIRITUAL WARNING:
The enemy’s goal isn’t always to make you rebel, but to make you ineffective.
Guilt says “I did something wrong.”

Shame says “I am something wrong.”
Guilt will lead you to shame.

Shame will lead you to jadedness.

Jadedness will lead you to hopelessness.

Hopelessness will lead you to unfaithfulness.
PRACTICAL ADVICE:
In your daily encounters, say out loud what you are thankful for.
Gratitude is WAR on shame & hopelessness!
Spiritual Growth Tip:
When God allures, follow every time!

The Valley of Achor = Valley of trouble
My personal definition of hope = When you are bound with zeal to the goodness of God, no matter what.
Are you more focused on your failures than His victory?
His plan is to take your greatest place of shame and make it your doorway of hope to glory!
