The Holy Spirit brings conviction.

conviction - the act of convincing a person of error or of compelling the admission of a truth

The devil deals in condemnation.

Condemnation/condemn - declared to be reprehensible, wrong, or evil; pronounced guilty and sentenced to punishment; officially declared to be unfit for use

Condemnation:
You are not good enough.
How can you do this again?
A “real” Christian wouldn’t do this.
Don’t go to God until you clean yourself up.
Shame. (waving finger)

Conviction:
You are made for more than this.
I forgave you of past mistakes, I can do it.
You are righteous in Christ; repent of that mistake.
I want to walk you out of this sin.
Love. (open arms)

Activity doesn’t replace relationship.

Don’t put things at odds.

Work hard for God and prioritize time with Him.

Find a place and rhythm.

Be still and quiet your heart.

Be consistent.
