hey
SPIRITUAL STRONGHOLD: a mindset, belief system, or pattern of thought that resists or exalts itself against the truth of God. It is a fortified lie, a deeply entrenched deception or worldly philosophy that keeps a person bound, opposing the knowledge and lordship of Jesus Christ.
Spirit of Comfort and Convenience: a deceptive mindset or attitude that exalts ease, personal comfort, and self-preservation above obedience, sacrifice, and wholehearted devotion to Christ. It resists the call to take up the cross daily and follow Jesus by faith.

TALK IT OVER

1. Where do you see the "spirit of comfort and convenience" showing up in your walk with Christ—and how does it hinder full obedience or sacrificial living?
Consider how this stronghold might impact your willingness to take up your cross daily (Luke 9:23).

2. How does 2 Timothy 3:16–17 speak to the process of breaking free from spiritual laziness or shallow commitment?
Reflect on a time when God used His Word to correct, train, or strengthen you in a difficult moment.

3. What does it practically look like to "take every thought captive" (2 Cor. 10:5) when facing temptation to choose ease over obedience?
Discuss tools or disciplines that help you reject comfort-driven mindsets and choose Kingdom priorities.
