Look at this verse in Exodus in the Septuagint, a Greek version of the Hebrew Bible.
Exodus 3:14 (LXX-NETS)
And God said to Moses, “I am The One Who Is,” And he said, “Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, ‘The One Who Is has sent me to you.’”
Exodus 3:14 (Greek)
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ὤν καὶ εἶπεν οὕτως ἐρεῗς τοῗς υἱοῗς Ισραηλ ὁ ὢν*ἀπέσταλκέν με πρὸς ὑ
The word-for-word comparison is: God said "I am (ἐγώ εἰμι), The One Who Is (ὁ ὤν). The LXX understood ὁ ὤν as the name given exclusively for Moses.
Exodus 3:14 (LXX-NETS)
And God said to Moses, “I am The One Who Is,” And he said, “Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, ‘The One Who Is has sent me to you.’”

εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν πρὶν Ἀβραὰμ γενέσθαι ἐγὼ εἰμί
Jesus said ἐγὼ εἰμί which is how the LXX identified God speaking in Exodus 3:14. Jesus did not say ὁ ὤν the name given for Moses. In the Gospel that name was used by John in the Prologue.
