Key Point #1: DEATH: The Israelites have left their old life of slavery in Egypt. Life in Egypt is dead (cf. Exodus 14:1-9).
Key Point #2: BURIAL: The Israelites need to bury their old life of slavery in Egypt. Don't bring Egypt with you (cf. Exodus 14:10-20).
Key Point #3: RESURRECTION: The Israelites cross the Red Sea. A new life begins (cf. Exodus 14:21-31).
One Last Thought: The Red Sea crossing is a spiritual blueprint. Through death, we leave behind what once enslaved us. Through burial, we choose to forget what once defined us. Through resurrection, we live as people transformed by the power of God.
