Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?

2. How would you rate your aptitude and competence as a worker? How would your boss (or those who evaluate your work) characterize your work ethic?

3. How would you describe your attitude toward your boss (or those you answer to in your daily work)? Read Ephesians 6:5. What specific changes need to be made in your life and behavior so that your treatment of your boss (or those you answer to) is more like the treatment that you would give Christ?

4. Read Proverbs 24:30-31; 18:9; and 2 Thessalonians 3:11-13. Write out a prayer confessing any residual laziness in your life and commit yourself afresh to diligent and faithful work in the coming weeks.

5. Read Revelation 22:12; 2 Corinthians 5:10 and 1 Corinthians 3:12-15. Though the Bible is clear that we are spared the consequences of our sin after death because of our trust in what Christ has done for us (see Titus 3:4-7 and Ephesians 2:8-9), the Bible also plainly teaches that what we do for Christ in this life will be rewarded. Think about your daily work environment and list aspects of your vocation that you believe are opportunities that have the potential of being eternally rewarded.

6. Read Mark 10:42-45. What aspects of Jesus’ style of leadership need to be incorporated into the way you lead others? What specific efforts will you make this week to serve those you lead?

Giving Online

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10) We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
