THE BIG REVEAL
Apocalypse means revealing or uncovering.
So does the word we use: Revelation (i.e. to reveal)
God intended it to reveal not conceal.

SOMEONE IS KEEPING SECRETS
God has elected to keep some things from us
When is the rapture?
Matthew 24:36-42 describes being taken away.
The when is not revealed. In fact, it is clearly a secret, “...no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
Who is the Beast? Revelation 13:18
What are the Seven Thunders?

GOD IS KEEPING SECRETS
God designed us in His image and for His glory.
God reveals to us everything I need to live a life which reflects and honors Him.
God reveals to us everything I need to live a life which reflects and honors Him.
All things belong to God. It is His right to with hold.
If God withholds it must be for my good, because God is good.
If God withholds it must be for my good, because God is good.
DO I TRUST YOU GOD?
Whether a secret is good or bad depends as much on the person keeping the secret as what the secret is.
God is good.
God is good.
God does good.
God does not sin (Referring to Jesus)
DO I TRUST YOU GOD?
God is Love.
God will always be Love
YES, I TRUST YOU GOD
God the Father knows everything
Doctrinal affirmation: God has exhaustive knowledge of all things, past, present and future.

GOD IS WISE
IT IS GOD’S RIGHT (I belong to Him)
GOD IS KEEPING SECRETS
All that is revealed to us, is for us to study and follow.
What is concealed is for us to exercise trust.
Trust in God’s wisdom, power and knowledge.
Trust in God’s goodness and love.
All that is revealed to us, is for us to study and follow.
What is concealed is for us to exercise trust.
Trust in God’s wisdom, power and knowledge.

JESUS ALREADY CLEARLY REVEALED
Jesus, the lamb of God
Jesus, the lamb of God
Suffering Servant (Isaiah 52:13-53:12)
JESUS ALREADY CLEARLY REVEALED
The God man
Quoting and attributing it to the birth of Christ

2.I am the light of the world (John 8:12)

5.I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:25)

REVELATION: JESUS' RETURN CLEARLY REVEALED
Jesus is coming with the clouds (Revelation 1:7) (Fulfillment of Acts 1:9-11)
• “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him...”
Behold=Pay attention! Listen up!
• Jesus will come back, traveling like God travels: with the clouds.
• “Every eye will see him”
Not completely clear: When?
What clearly belongs to us?
• The certainty of his physical bodily return.
• It can’t be missed. If you haven’t seen it, it hasn’t happened.

CLEARLY REVEALED: Jesus is coming to take us away
Where this passage sits in a time line with the verses prior is not clear. If it follows sequentially, then everyone know when it will happen.
Verses 32-35 may provide a topical break.
Vs 36 “...no one knows...”
V42 “Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”
What belongs to us? Christ’s could come to take us at any time. Live like that.

CLEARLY REVEALED: The time is near.
Blessing promised to those who read and “keep” it [i.e. put into practice].
Why? The time is near. How do I “keep” Revelation 1:3. Live a life which is characterized by a readiness to meet Jesus face to face.

TAKE AWAYS

Jobs will be both indoors and outside, so please dress accordingly. Lunch will be provided after worship, and we'll work until 2:00pm. For questions or more information, contact the church office.
Hearing Assistance Devices Available
We have hearing assistance devices available during the morning worship service which allow the user to control the volume based on their individual needs. They are available from the Sound Booth at the rear of the sanctuary and are cleaned and sanitized after each use. For questions, see Rocky Starland.
Have You Considered?
Did you know that if your bank offers online services, you can set your tithe up as a regular ‘bill payment’ through your bank? This is a convenient option to help with continuity in giving and the ability for you to tithe even when you are on vacation or miss church. It eliminates having to wonder if you turned in your offering while you were gone! If you have questions or would like more information about how to utilize this convenient option, check with your banking institution or contact the church office.
Pop Cans = Scholarships
Don’t forget that your beverage can & bottle donations are used to fund teen scholarships for youth retreats, summer camps, special activities, etc. Please bring your recyclable items to the church anytime!
