The enemy is attacking your friendships in order to get to your intimacy with God.
friendship is both intimately knowing and being known with a decision to love with no strings attached.
According to the American Psychological Association, social isolation can be as detrimental to your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day, while social connections are linked to a 50% increased chance of longevity.
In 2023, the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness and social isolation a public health epidemic in America, emphasizing its severe impact on mental and physical health.
The percentage of those reporting no close friends increased from 3% in 1990 to 12% today. (“The State of American Friendship: Change, Challenges, and Loss,” Survey Center on American Life, 2021)
Therapists report that about 25% of their clients seek counseling for platonic relationships, addressing issues like political differences, grief, and life transitions.(TIME magazine)

We rarely steward what we don’t first honor.
Philos- A dearly loved, trusted confidant; someone you cherish in a close, personal bond.
Hetairos- A companion, comrade, or associate—more functional or positional than intimate.

- Mentors/Fathers and Mothers – People pouring into your life.
- Mentors/Fathers and Mothers – People pouring into your life.
Caution: Don’t be so impressed by a microphone, platform or social media following that you miss a God-ordained relationship.
