1. Every SEASON has a PURPOSE.
“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under the heaven.”

2. Your COMMUNITY shapes your DIRECTION.

Community doesn’t just SHAPE our direction… it can help redirect us BACK to God!
"As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience. Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God... These older women must train the younger women... In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind."

3. OLDER believers provide WISDOM.
Young adults in our church need the experience and guidance of those who know what it’s like to have walked through the different seasons of life.
Our older members need the energy and fresh perspectives that the younger generation brings.
“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”

For our OLDER members, you need to know that your wisdom is INVALUABLE, but HOW you share it matters.
Our goal should never be to PROVE that we were right… our goal should be to help the next generation to grow.
4. BUILD a lasting FOUNDATION.
"Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn't obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash."
