HEALTH MINISTRIES
Wellness Begins in the Mind
The connection between the mind and the body is deeply
intertwined—when one is affected, the other responds.
Mental and emotional states have a far greater impact on
physical health than many realize. Countless illnesses are rooted in emotional distress. Feelings such as grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, and distrust weaken the body’s vital forces and can hasten deterioration and even death. Ministry of Healing

On the other hand, qualities like courage, hope, faith, sympathy,
and love contribute to well-being and longevity. A peaceful
mind and a joyful spirit bring healing and strength, both
physically and spiritually. As Proverbs 17:22 affirms, “A cheerful heart is good medicine.”

Ellen G. White underscored the profound link between
mental and physical health, advocating for a wholistic view of
wellness. She emphasized the importance of balance in life, which includes a nutritious diet, regular exercise, and the
cultivation of positive mental and spiritual habits.
