1. Mary Magdalene – Grief / Confusion / Misunderstanding
The Resurrection overcame the silence of grief and revealed a Savior who speaks our name.
2. Thomas – Doubt and Disappointment

The resurrection overcame shame and re-commissioned Peter as a shepherd.
What the Resurrection Changes for Us
● Our Identity – From dead to sin to alive in Christ.
○ Romans 6:4
○ 4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
● Our Relationship with God – From Separation to Union
○ 2 Corinthians 5:17
○ 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
● Our Future – From Fear to Purpose
○ John 14:19
■ 19 Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. (When I am raised to life again, you will know…) Phillip
○ Philippians 3:10-11
■ 10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, 11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
