Seek

Colossians 3:1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

When you surrender to Christ, you must keep the process of seeking Him going even after your salvation.

Psalm 9:9 The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; 10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

When we are truthfully and desperately seeking Jesus, we can have the comfort that He will never leave us on our own but will continually walk with us.

Hidden

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

A life hidden in Christ means that the life of a Christian is safe and secure – no matter what is going on in the world.

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

“Hidden in Christ” is a security in Christ.

Revealed

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Christ is our life because we are as good as dead; and because He is our life, we receive glory which will be revealed in Him.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

What we will be is not known, but what we know is: We will be with Him and we will be like Him.
