He is Risen!

He is Risen!

Maybe you know that we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead on Easter. It's why it is also called Resurrection Sunday. But how does that fit into the larger story? What does the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus mean? Join us as we unpack why the perfect sacrifice of Jesus and the empty tomb mean that death has lost its sting and we have something to live for right now. He has risen. He has risen, indeed!

CONCLUSION
Death is swallowed up in victory. Oh, death, where is your sting? Death now to the Christian is but a messenger of grace sent to bring him home to his Father. The Christian, in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 15, will taunt death and say, “You had a sting and a victory for a little while, but no more. You're finished. Jesus has abolished you. You will never again be able to touch me.” And so the believer can now say in faith, in anticipation of the day of resurrection, “Death, where's your sting?”
