Sermon Title: Palm Sunday- "Enduring Hardships"

Hosanna was often though to be similar to Hallelujah or praise but it actually was a plea. when they cried Hosanna it was not a time of worship necessarily to the King but a begging for him to save them. Literally it means " I beg you to save us". "Please save us"

They want to be saved from their roman oppression and they're outward circumstances. They're being abused by the romans and are mistreated and want Jesus to change that. Theres nothing wrong with this desire for God to intervene in our lives and take us out of trials.

The challenge was hat Jesus was no going to change what was going on around them he came to change them from the inside out. He came to conquer their sin not their oppressors.

This is how some of the same people went from "Hosanna" to "crucify him" in one week.

How do we act when God doesn't come through the way we want him to?

The main point of this message is that sometimes we are going to have to endure hardships, but the good news is, it will produce endurance!!!!

Jesus endured hardships!!

Jesus showed a natural human desire to avoid pain.

This is the Hunan experience to naturally want to go the easier route and avoid hardships.

This word for suffering can be translated a s a process where the challenge changes the sufferer!!

Theres purpose in the pain!!!

Some things in life that you have to endure are not meant to crush you and have you give up but are designed to change you.

Suffering produces endurance.

Endurance is built by going through trials and tribulations and continuing to trust God and not give up and eventually to even keep a good attitude!!

Endurance is built.

Don't give up!!!!!!

Endurance builds character…… when you don't get your way you learn to grow up!!

Hardships can really show where your character level is really at. We gotta start passing the test of enduring hardships so we can mature!!

Then character produces hope in the assurance of your salvation,

We learned to rely on God!! How ? By Going through hardships.

Changing our questions on why things are happening to what are you trying to be for me in this season?

My comforter
My refuge
My savior
My peace
My Provider

Hold on to Jesus, don't give up, you're building endurance, character and hope.

Keep Going.
